Bombay Velvet

Bombay Velvet is an upcoming 2014 Hindi drama, film noir, neo noir directed and co-produced by Anurag Kashyap. It is based on historian Gyan Prakash's book Mumbai Fables, a story of how the city of Mumbai became a metropolis against the backdrop of love, greed, violence and jazz music. The film will feature Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in lead roles while Karan Johar will play the role of the primary antagonist. Raveena Tandon, Kay Kay Menon and Siddharth Basu will also appear in supporting roles in the film.Bombay Velvet is a realization of Anurag Kashyap’s long cherished dream that he has lived day in and day out for the last nine years
